It might feel like the Christmas season has only just finished, but Christmas 2025 will be here before we know it. Christmas Day changes which day of the week it falls on every year. Whilst the date remains the same (25th December), the actual day changes from year to year.
Christmas Day 2025 falls on a Thursday.
This puts Christmas Eve on the Wednesday before, New Year’s Eve on the Wednesday after and New Year’s Day on Thursday 1st January 2026.

If you are one of those people who leaves everything until the last minute, this is the year you can switch things around! Maybe you’re reading this post too late and Christmas Day 2025 is only a few days away. If that’s the case, you’ve got an entire 52 weeks to plan for Christmas Day 2026 instead!

If you have a goal of what you’d like to save for Christmas, simply divide it by 52 to get a weekly total, or 12 to get a monthly amount. By breaking this total down into bite-sized chunks, it seems much more manageable, and you will also have money set aside if you see bargain gifts during the year.
